All of our private practices serve as Academic Teaching Centers for Evidence In Motion’s advanced training programs.

Residency Opportunities

  • Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency

    EIM’s APTA Credentialed Orthopaedic Residency Program consists of 18 months filled with intensive distance learning, online courses, hands-on training, and clinical practice hours. EIM Orthopaedic residents:

    • Grow their confidence to effectively evaluate and treat patients
    • Gain a strong knowledge of evidence-based practice, manual therapy techniques, and advanced medical screening and radiology
    • Position themselves to achieve OCS certification upon completion of the program
  • Sports Physical Therapy Residency

    EIM’s 18-month APTA Credentialed Sports Residency Program is a combination of online learning, hands-on courses, and athletic venue hours. Sports PT residents:

    • Increase their confidence to provide care to patients with athletic injuries
    • Achieve a strong knowledge of preventative and rehabilitative evidence-based sports therapy that can be immediately applied to practice
    • Position themselves to achieve SCS certification upon completion of the program

    EIM’s Sports Physical Therapy Certification is a 12-month post-professional program that prepares you to earn the confidence of your patients and experience the EIM advantage.

  • Manual Physical Therapy Certification

    Ultimately, patient outcomes are determined by the manual handling skills that you implement. EIM’s Manual Physical Therapy Certification provides post-professional training for physical therapists and is designed to advance the physical therapist as a provider of patient care with advanced clinical competency.

  • Manual Physical Therapy Certificate Pre-Fellowship Program

    EIM’s Manual Physical Therapy Certification (MTC) provides post-professional training for physical therapists and is designed to advance the physical therapist as a provider of patient care with advanced clinical competency.

     

     

     

  • Pelvic Health Certification

    Evidence In Motion’s Pelvic Health Certification (PHC) will enable you to understand the structure and function of the pelvic floor and prepare you to incorporate it into practice. You will learn how to incorporate the pelvic floor into your treatment for your hip, back, and SI joint patients.

  • Geriatric Certification

    This program offers the opportunity to develop expertise in the clinical management of the aging patient population.

  • Advanced Certification in Pelvic Health

    This Advanced Certification program incorporates critical thinking, clinical judgment, research knowledge and foundation, teaching opportunities, and mentoring to generate thoughtful clinicians, knowledgeable teachers, and evidence-based practitioners specializing in musculoskeletal treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction.

  • Certificate for Advanced Practice in Hand Therapy

    The goal of EIM’s Certificate for Advanced Practice in Hand Therapy is to develop highly skilled hand therapists who are leaders in the fields of occupational and physical therapy.

  • PTA Specialty Certification in Orthopaedics

    Physical therapist assistants are important members of the healthcare team and play a vital role in bringing the physical therapist’s plan of care to life. EIM’s PTA Specialty Certification in Orthopaedics provides licensed PTAs the opportunity to advance their knowledge and practice in the care of patients suffering orthopaedic-related conditions.

  • Certification in Neurologic Clinical Practice

    The Certification in Neurologic Clinical Practice is an 11–13-month program of postprofessional clinical and didactic education designed to advance expertise in neurologic physical therapy.

  • Specialty Certification in Stroke Recovery

    EIM’s Specialty Certification in Stroke Recovery is an 11–15-month program of postprofessional clinical and didactic education designed to translate evidence into practice and provide PTs and OTs with the tools to provide best practice management in persons following stroke.

  • Therapeutic Pain Specialist Certification

    Therapeutic Pain Specialist (TPS) is a true interdisciplinary pain certification, open to various healthcare providers including but not limited to physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists, occupational therapist assistants, medical doctors, doctors of osteopathy, nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.

More Postprofessional Opportunities

  • Postprofessional DPT (Transition)

    The EIM Post-professional DPT Program is committed to developing evidence-based physical therapists who are prepared to function as independent practitioners of choice for patients with musculoskeletal conditions. This 12-18-month program of post-professional clinical and didactic education is designed to bridge a bachelor’s or master’s degree to the doctorate level. Each student improves their clinical knowledge and practice while completing coursework built upon the current best evidence for the management of musculoskeletal disorders. Students foster relationships with physical therapy leaders within EIM, opening doors for high-yielding, lifelong professional growth, and development.

  • Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship

    The Orthopaedic Manual PT Fellowship consists of 24–36 months filled with comprehensive distance learning, hands-on training, outcomes monitoring, and mentoring. EIM Fellows:

    • Grow as experts in advanced manual therapy techniques
    • Have increased opportunity to become educators in the field
    • Position themselves as leaders in physical therapy clinical practice and research
  • Executive Program in Private Practice Management with Optional Postprofessional DPT (Transition)

    The Executive Program is 12 months of MBA-style postprofessional education designed to enhance the business savvy of clinic managers and owners. The optional postprofessional DPT clinical component includes four additional courses in Radiology, Medical Screening, Pharmacology, and Evidence-Based Practice. Executive Program students:

    • Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices in accounting, marketing, business strategy, management, leadership, technology, and customer service
    • Differentiate themselves and their company by becoming a stronger, more effective leader and team
    • Gain access to a network of like-minded private practitioners for long-term collaboration
