Cassie founded SporTherapy in 1989 to provide high quality physical therapy services to the Fort Worth area after receiving extensive experience with orthopaedic and sports related injuries at the Medical & Surgical Clinic in Fort Worth, Collegiate and High School Interims, and specialty coursework. She received her degree in Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University in 1985, graduating in the inaugural physical therapy class. Upon obtaining her PT license, she also attained her Athletic Training Certification and was involved as a PT/ATC Task Force member.
Cassie has a wide range of experience in general orthopedics and sports medicine, and specialized in biomechanical evaluations and treatment procedures. She has lead research and co-authored a publication for ACL rehab following a 2 year study. She is committed to her Physical Therapy practice/administration expertise and has been involved within her lifelong memberships from state to national and section levels of the APTA. She has been recognized as a “TOP Female Entrepreneur” and SporTherapy has been designated a “Top 100 Private Companies in Fort Worth” for multiple years. She has served on PT school advisory boards and is active with the Endowment Program at TTUHSC.
When she’s not at work, Cassie enjoys doing life with her husband, Steve, their 2 adult sons, and dog, traveling, volunteering for causes dear to her heart, biking, gardening, and all things Texas Tech.
