Executive Team | Janie Taylor
Janie currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Physical Therapy Central. She originally joined PTC in 2006 as a staff physical therapist, then moving into both a Regional Director and Director of Compliance role before assuming the CEO position in 2020. Currently, Janie oversees 32 Physical Therapy Central clinics across Oklahoma.
Janie graduated with her Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in 2006. She graduated with outstanding distinction and received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence as a PT student. Prior to earning her Masters in Physical Therapy, Janie graduated summa cum laude from Oklahoma State University with an Honors Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Science.
Janie graduated in August 2009 with her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from A.T. Still University, in the Arizona School of Health Sciences. In 2010, Janie earned her American of Physical Therapy Specialties Board certification as an orthopedic specialist (OCS), with recertification in 2020. In addition to developing her clinical skills, Janie has completed further business leadership courses through the Evidence-Based Practice Management program with Evidence in Motion.
Janie is active in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association (OPTA), starting with her service as OPTA student legislative liaison in graduate school. She currently serves in OPTA leadership as Western District Secretary. Janie represents Oklahoma physical therapists in the APTA House of Delegates and is a strong advocate for patients and private practice physical therapists through APTA legislative affairs. In 2008, Janie was awarded a national “Emerging Leader” award from APTA for her service. In 2011, Janie was awarded the Kenneth Ball Award for Significant Service to the Association.
Janie currently resides in Pauls Valley, with her husband, Tommy Taylor, and children, Kate, Harrison, and Anna. Janie is active in her community through the Chamber of Commerce leadership group and Trinity Baptist Church. She enjoys all things sports and is an avid Oklahoma State Cowboy fan!
