Confluent Health Founder Appointed to Executive Chairman Role, Expands Industry Impact
LOUISVILLE, KY (July 6th, 2023) – Confluent Health, a national leader in physical therapy, occupational health, education, ergonomics, and healthcare innovation, is pleased to announce the appointment of its founder, Dr. Larry Benz, PT, DPT, OCS, MBA, MAPP, FAPTA, to full time Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors.
In this expanded leadership role, Dr. Benz will continue to drive the company’s strategic direction and spearhead its expansion in the Musculoskeletal (MSK) industry. He will provide direct oversight of Confluent Health’s digital innovation arm, including education company Evidence in Motion, workplace safety and prevention company Fit For Work as well as mergers and acquisitions. With Dr. Benz’s leadership and expertise, Confluent Health is well-positioned to continue its exponential growth and solidify its position as a leader in the MSK space.

Industry veteran and digital healthcare leader, Dr. Kristi Henderson, DNP, FAAN, will steer Confluent Health’s strategic direction, oversee day-to-day outpatient and clinical operations, and drive continued growth and expansion as Chief Executive Officer.
Confluent Health’s flourishing outpatient footprint now spans to over 650 clinics across 35 states and continues to attract top clinical talent as an industry powerhouse and as the voice of authority for the physical therapy industry. This strategic appointment positions the company for their next chapter of growth for, as it continues to expand its mission of transforming healthcare, one patient, therapist, and employer at a time.
Dr. Benz has been leading the charge in putting physical therapy first and integrating empathy, compassion, and positive psychology interventions within PT care. He is passionate about conducting research around a care pathway that puts physical therapy first, and his expertise in this area is unparalleled.
